There is a lot of debate going on regarding physical medical exhibitions taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those against physical exhibitions argue that it risks the virus spreading further; even with taken precautions. Many people argue that we need to learn to adapt and live with the circumstances we are presented with.
Businesses that heavily relied on face-to-face meetings to expand their company have succumbed to the pandemic. Many have shut down, while many others adapted their business to the online world.
However, there is still need for face-to-face meetings and exhibitions. Not just for the sake of expanding one’s business and gaining profits, but for other reasons as well.
The matter of fact is it is possible to physically attend a medical exhibition in 2021. As long as the proper precautions are taken, it is still possible to physically attend a medical exhibition in 2021. Arab Health will be hosting physical medical exhibitions to demonstrate how physical medical exhibitions are possible.Arab Health will also reintroduce the opportunities that were missed in 2020. Further information will be given later on in this article.
As humans, we rely on physical interactions to grow and develop. The environment in which we converse – in-person – paves way for more efficient “train-of-thought”. Hence, the importance of physical exhibitions. These live exhibitions offer multisensory experiences for suppliers, companies, manufacturers and guests to build trusting relationships.
The medical world keeps evolving at a fast pace. Whether it is medical procedures or medical tools and supplies, there is always something new popping up. So, there is a need to still organise physical exhibitions.
Regarding medical manufacturers and medical distributors, live medical exhibitions offer several benefits. Building and enhancing brand reputation are two noteworthy benefits of in-person exhibitions. By just simply having a stand at the exhibition, businesses are already telling guests and prospects, “Our business is reliable, significant, serious, and large enough to afford a spot at this leading conference.” With just this, medical manufacturers and medical distributors are not just able to attract new clients, but also sell their products and services.
Which brings us to our next point: medical distributors are able to make connections and land exclusive distribution rights. Clients are more likely to make deals with distributors if they are able to trust them. To build a foundation for that trust, in-person meetings have a much bigger impact than video meetings.
Finally, in-person medical exhibitions allow medical companies and medical personnel to keep up with the latest trends and technologies in a much simpler manner. It also allows medical personnel to secure the latest medical supplies, tools, and devices that they will need.

As mentioned earlier, Arab Health plans on holding live, in-person medical exhibitions in Dubai from the 21st June to the 24th June 2021. Arab Health will also hold online medical exhibitions from the 23rd May 2021 to the 22nd July 2021. The purpose of starting the online exhibition before the live exhibition is to allow attending guests the opportunity of meeting with participating medical companies and get meeting appointments. The other purpose is to allow medical personnel that are unable to attend the opportunity to experience the exhibition and benefit from it.
Besides the above-mentioned precautions, Arab Health is taking another step forward. Peter Hall, President of Informa Markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa, spoke about his first experience attending an in-person medical exhibition in Dubai. He mentioned that almost everything was carried out by artificial intelligence (AI). He further commented how seamlessly face-to-face and digital worked well together and created a fantastic experience.
The Arab Health Exhibition of 2021 will prove that, not only can humans co-exist and continue their lives, but also pave the way of how we function as a society. It will demonstrate how society can move forward with AI and the digital world.
